Blog #1-Power of Prayer

Right now I am sure that we all know about the Coronavirus and the fear it has put into some people.
In these times we as Christians do not need to be living in fear but in faith. This is why prayer is so important. As believers, we need to be praying for our president and this world more than ever.

We are clearly in the final days and there are a lot of issues going on in our world. What I have found personally, is that I was getting caught up in thinking and not clearing my mind to be able to focus on prayer. While I was struggling with this I was realizing that you can not get into prayer while thinking and having our brain running constantly. You have to get yourself to a place of peace where all you are focused on is God and all he has done for you. If you need to, it is always good to find yourself a quiet spot where you can just sit and focus on Him.

When praying it is all about getting personal with God and talking to Him just like you would a friend. Other times while praying you could just be thanking the Lord for all that he has done for you. God wants to hear from you, He already knows your wants and desires, but He wants you to tell Him anyway. He wants you to come to Him with anything and everything. In His word, it says, "If you have faith even the size of a mustard seed and you come to Him it, shall be done for you". Another way to pray is with people it also says in God's word, " if three or more people come together in prayer it shall be done for you". I have seen these forms of prayer work over and over again because we have a good and faithful Father who is always looking out for us.
